Hour of Code is a week-long event that exposes students to the language and critical thinking behind coding. This year, Hour of Code will take place anywhere between December 4-10, 2017. All grade levels are invited to participate, as well as parents at home. Check out code.org for activities to do during this event.
With conferences and the testing leading up to it, students have had a long period of learning, deserving of a break. The Roar Store let kids celebrate an intense week and a long deserved vacation.

A tradition at our school has been the book fair, where every conferencing period sees many kids lining up with dollars in hand to buy the colorful items inside. Our class took a trip to the book fair during school, as we're sure many of you know because of the mental lists they made you well aware of.
Watercolors are always an engaging medium for young learners. They are often the first paints that we learn to use. Here, students paint pumpkins just before the end of October. To some, the drawing of faces on pumpkins came naturally.
