Students last week got to go to the Soledad High School FFA farm and learn about the different animals that are taken care of there. They got used to the smells and sounds that come from a working farm. High school students did a great job explaining the different animals. Thank you so much to our many chaperones that volunteered to walk us over! Your help was certainly appreciated!
Two weeks ago, Mr. Bullock's sixth grade class visited our class for an arrangement we have made: Reading buddies! Every week, the sixth graders will be visiting our class and pair up with the kindergarteners to build confidence and give one-on-one attention for reading fluency. They will be teaching them to read through sight word instruction. Students that are able to read all of their sight words will be part of an ice cream party. And teams that meet their goals will get to earn prizes and treats! Thank you sixth graders for helping our students!
I'm an elementary school teacher that instructs multimodally, through music and experience. Look here for the happenings in our classroom.
